THE Simply Divalicious STORY

Simply Divalicious came into existence quite organically when I personally needed more exciting meals and snacks in my life while competing in fitness. Back then, I was on a diet consisting primarily of chicken and rice, and a few other restricted, bland, and carefully calculated meals. While I was getting the nutrients my body required, my meals were painfully lacking in the flavor department. I realized I was no longer enjoying my food.

So, I started experimenting with flavors and variety, making sure to stay within “healthy” parameters. I became a sort of mad scientist in the kitchen, making it my mission to create meals out of the foods I loved, just lighter and without the added calories. I didn’t want to feel restricted in my choices, so I worked diligently to find the workarounds. As I slowly turned my comfort food into my daily food, mealtime became enjoyable again.

Before I knew it, my training clients noticed my renewed relationship with food and started asking me questions. They, too, were feeling stuck, bored, and restricted by their meals. I started re-creating recipes for them, making their favorite meals healthier and lighter, but still full of flavor and satiety. Not long after, they were asking me to cook for them! In my desire to share what I had learned, I decided to host my first cooking class in my friend’s kitchen. Little did I know this would be the official unofficial start of Simply Divalicious. The overwhelming feedback was clear: there was a hunger for food that was both nourishing and delectable. And I was more than ready to serve it up!

It’s truly remarkable how a small gathering of training clients, learning how to make a few simple meals, has transformed into such an integral part of my career. Simply Divalicious has evolved into a truly refreshing approach to nutrition. Today, thousands of recipes & ideas, almost 75 cooking classes and nutrition certifications later, I continue to pour my heart and soul into learning how to guide my clients toward health.

Build Balanced Meals/Snacks and Build the Perfect Bouquet

The first Divalicious Cooking and Nutrition class is finally here! This first class of 2025 is going to have a special unique theme and guest.  During this class you will not only enjoy a 3 course meal of simple healthy ingredients that you can replicate in your own home for healthier cooking options, but you will be taught how to build a balanced meal with your 3 essential macros, proteins, complex carbs and fats. Plus the most important part…FLAVOR! 

During this nutritious, delicious and educational ladies night out, you will also learn how to build the perfect bouquet of flowers by creating your own and bringing it home. Laura, who owns Dottie Florist, will be driving her adorable mobile florist truck and will have a blend of exotic flowers that she will be teaching how to make your very own custom bouquet.  I did this last month and it was a blast!

Wrap up: the night will include a 3 course menu, bonus snack ideas, a lovely wine pairing, a full tutorial and education on how to build each meal balanced, along with your flower tutorial and a takeaway bouquet you created.

Simply Divalicious cooking classes offer an intimate, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for women to bond over the joy of food. During each uniquely themed class, I demonstrate and serve Simply Divalicious recipes. I want to help women succeed in their kitchens by showing them that meals can be easy, accessible, and delicious! Strict diets aren’t necessary for health, food is meant to be enjoyed, and it’s not as hard as you think. Simply Divalicious cooking classes are held quarterly in my home kitchen.
